Health Project
Dear Friends,
This is not the usual Hot Topic News Letter, as this is now being mailed to you by Coleen and Vanessa, a young lady from Canada, kindly assisting us.
Having got over the nitty gritty of acquiring the building for the AIDS and Health Clinic, it is finally a reality and doing a brilliant job helping the ill, some of them seriously so and including a child and a year old baby.
Seeing these people being transported to the clinic by their families in all manner of vehicles, barely able to walk is heart wrenching. News of Carol and her team has spread and the need for such an institution is abundantly clear in this area with its large rural population. In this professional nursing environment their quality of life improves immediately as they are given the correct diets and supplied and taught how to take their medication. Once strong enough and able to manage their illness, they are once again returned to the care of their families and monitored by outside AIDS Care Givers.
As you have guessed this is an appeal for us to help alleviate the suffering of these people.
We have attached a budget which is the annuity needed to maintain the Treatment Centre on a month to month basis and indicating the funding which is already in place.
The anticipation is that we can approach “The Friends of Hamburg” to commit an amount of money on a monthly basis to contribute to the running of the hospice. To get into the yearly budgets of large corporates is a lengthy business, but we are addressing this avenue as well. In the meantime we need to raise the present day running costs.
Donations may be made to: The Keiskamma Trust, First National Bank, Vincent Park, Acc No: 62059966097. Branch Code: 211021.
The Nonprofit Organisation Registration No is 039-285-NPO. Invoices will be raised for all donations made bearing this NPO Number.
Please will you notify us if you wish to become a donor, so that we can add your name and contribution to the budget. For any information regarding this budget and how funds are being spent, please will you contact Malcolm Driessel by e-mail or on 040 6781108 or Cell 0824542180.
Out of small beginnings come great things, so please Friends, help us to help ourselves make the difference.
With thanks and Best Wishes,
Malcolm & Pam Driessel |
